July 11th 2008: Sad news as Mikhail lost his match today in the Gstaad as he lost to Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 4-6, 7-5, 6-3. July 10th 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Gstaad as he defeated Italy's Flavio Cipolla with a 6-3, 6-2 win, he will now face Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. June 30th 2008: Sad news as Mikhail lost his match today in the Wimbledon as he lost to Spain's Rafael Nadal 3-6, 3-6, 1-6. June 28th 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Wimbledon as he defeated Czeck Republic's Radek Stepanek with a 7-5, 6-7, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3 win, he will now #2 seed Rafael Nadal. June 26th 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Wimbledon as he defeated Italy's Stefano Galvani with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win, he will now face Radek Stepanek. June 24th 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Wimbledon as he defeated Argentina's Sergiu Roitman with a 6-1, 6-4, 6-0 win, he will now face Galvani... June 12th 2008: Sad news as Mikhail lost his match today in the Gerry Weber Open, Halle as he lost to Germany's Nicolas Kiefer 2-6, 7-5, 3-6. June 10th 2008: Mikhail was in action today in his opening match on grass, he took out fellow Russian Dmitry Tursunov 6-3, 6-1 and will now face Robin Haase or Nicolas Kiefer. May 30th 2008: Sad news as Mikhail lost his match today in the Roland Garros as he lost to Spain's Fernando Verdasco 6-7, 7-5, 5-7. May 29th 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Roland Garros as he defeated Argentina's Maximo Gonzalez with a 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 win, he will now face Fernando Verdasco! May 28th 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Roland Garros as he defeated Germany's Benjamin Becker with a 6-1, 6-3, 7-6 win, he will now face M. Gonzalez. May 24th 2008: Mikhail was in action today in the first match of the final against Sweden, but he lost to Robin Soderling 6-3, 6-1!:( And after a great comeback by Igor Andreev to set things at 1-1, Mikhail and Dmitry Tursunov unfortunately lost in doubles, a 4-6, 7-6, 11-9 loss...:( May 23rd 2008: Well, Mikhail played in doubles today, winning his match in a 3-0 win over Germany!! They finish 1st of their group and will face Sweden in the final:) May 22nd 2008: Mikhail was back in action, this time in doubles, but after Andreev's loss, Russia had already lost their tie...they won doubles, but still lost to Spain 2-1... May 20th 2008: Sad news as Mikhail lost his match today in the ARAG World Team Cup, Blue Group as he lost to Spain's David Ferrer 6-3, 6-3. Russia trails 1-0..! May 18th 2008: Mikhail is now in action playing the Arag World Cup team competition in Dusseldorf. The Russians lead Italy 2-0 in their opening match thanks in part to Mikhail's 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 win against Potito Starace.... May 12th 2008: Mikhail was in action today playing in Hamburg, but he ended up losing his opening match against Spain's Fernando Verdasco, a 6-3, 6-2 loss!!!! April 23rd 2008: Mikhail was in action today in Monte Carlo, he was however forced to withdraw because of an injury while he was losing 6-3 to Igor Andreev... April 1st 2008: Sad news as Mikhail lost his match today in the Sony Ericsson Open as he lost to Janko Tipsarevic 6-3, 0-6, 3-6. March 31st 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Sony Ericsson Open as he defeated Nicolas Almagro with a 7-6, 3-6, 7-6 win, he will now face Janko Tipsarevic March 29th 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Sony Ericsson Open as he defeated Bobby Reynolds with a 6-2, 6-2 win, he will now face Nicolas Almagro. March 20th 2008: Mikhail's tournament is over, he was surprised by Aussie Lleyton Hewitt 7-5, 6-1 in his 3rd round match.... March 16th 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Pacific Life Open as he defeated Gilles Simon with a 7-5, 6-4 win, he will now face Lleyton Hewitt or Sam Querrey March 3rd 2008: Mikhail was in action as things continue to be tough for him, this time he was defeated in the Dubai 1st round, a 6-3, 6-4 loss to France's Fabrice Santoro. February 18th 2008: Sad news as Mikhail lost his match today in the ABN AMRO Championship, Rotterdam as he lost to J. Tipsarevic 6-7, 4-6. February 15th 2008: Sad news as Mikhail lost his match today in the Open 13, Marseille as he lost to M. Baghdatis 7-6, 6-3. February 14th 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Open 13, Marseille as he defeated J. Benneteau with a 7-5, 6-3 win, he will now face Marcos Baghdatis February 13th 2008: Good news as Mikhail won his match today in the Open 13, Marseille as he defeated Marin Cilic with a 6-4, 7-6 win, he will now face Julien Benneteau February 10th 2008: Mikhail was part of the Davis Cup team that defeated Serbia in this weekend's first round, a 3-2 win. Mikhail won his first match against Nenad Zimonjic then Nikolay Davydenko won his match against Victor Troicki. After a doubles loss by Mikhail and Dmitry Tursunov, Nikolay Davydenko defeated a less than 100% Novak Djokovic in 3 sets (he was trailing 2-1 but the Serb was injured)... Dmitry Tursunov lost the remaining match that was meaningless... next up for Russia will be Czeck Republic! January 21st 2008: Mikhail's tournament came to an end, he was defeated by J-W Tsonga 7-5, 6-0, 7-6... |
