Who do you think can pull it off this time? I'm thinking Juan Carlos-Ferrero but more for what I saw last year because so far in 2004 i'm not being convinced by anyone.....

Since I have to write this again because the first time it didn't work, I am a little annoyed LOL. Well, I think that Guillermo Coria will win this year at the French. Ferrero has won only 8 games in his last two clay court matches, both, obviously, losses. And with the Open only about four weeks away, it's tough to know if he can turn it around, especially with the best of five format at the majors. Coria, however, has won 26 matches in a row on clay, having not lost since his French Open semifinal against Martin Verkerk. So, he's obviously playing the best on clay, and is my favorite to win the French.

Well I think you make a very good point. I mean Coria is just so tough to beat physically, few players can even aspire to defeating him unless you can take a few breaks early on to at least take the lead. I wonder how far Roddick can make it in this tournament.. he's not been making a lot of noise but it could be interesting to see if he improved on clay.
