France open Fed Cup defence against Germany in Amiens

Reigning champions France will kick off their Fed Cup title defence against Germany in the northern French town of Amiens from April 24-25, the French Tennis Federation announced on Monday.
The first round tie will be played indoors on clay in the 3,000-seater Amiens Coliseum.
The last Fed Cup match played in the town was in 1996 when the French beat Argentina 3-2.
France won their second Fed Cup title in 2003 when they beat the United States 4-1 in Moscow last November. They previously won in 1997 when they beat the Netherlands.
