Tim Henman, Greg Rusedski, Alex Bogdanovic and Andrew Murray were today named in the Great Britain team for the forthcoming Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Cup Play Off tie against Austria (24-26 September).
For Andrew Murray, the tie will mark his debut in the Marsh Team GB Davis Cup squad.
Jeremy Bates, GB Davis Cup Captain, said: “Andrew has earned his place in this squad due to his excellent form in recent months and we are delighted for him. He is a young, exciting and versatile player, at home on any surface and his form on clay in particular has been very good.
“I am also delighted that Alex is back to his best form, playing well and rising up the rankings. Both players will offer us great options when it comes to taking on the Austrian team.
Bates added: “Tim and Greg continue to perform exceptionally well on the world stage at the very highest level. This is a really strong squad, with an exciting blend of experience and youth. It will be a very tough tie and we are looking forward to the challenge.”
Andrew Banks and Martin Lee will also travel with the squad as hitting partners.
