Hello everyone, I'd like to get your input, I would like to take the 3-4...less active boards back into the "Other Player" forums, and then perhaps take one out of there and give it its own forum, do you think it's a good idea?

Yes I think its a good idea!
Mayby you could set up a board for the doubles players instead?
I think the doubles tournaments ar so under valued and the players do not get the coverage they deserve.
If they had there own board it would be easier to keep a track on whose winning what tornament and who the top seeds are!

why not vote on who would be removed?

hmmm well voting could lead to some people just coming to vote and keep a player alive but then if few people post then it would be better off as a sub-category no? I think I'll make this gradual... perhaps take one out in the next few days, as I said, taking it out will only put it in the "Other Players Category":)

YOU should deside the minimum number of posts per month a player must get to have there own board.
Anyone droping bellow this point looses the board and goes into the other players catergy.
In return any player in this catergy who gets more than the minimum posts gets there own board.

Thing is, I don't want to have 3 boards or 10..and I don't want to have plenty of boards in July or 2 in December... it's more about having a front page that's not too long and obiviously forums that are active... I was thinking more about gradually taking a few out while hopefully those in "other Players" can return later on:) I took out Strycova a few days ago..does this all make any sense?:)

I think sometimes when a board gets to big it is hard to follow and hard to answer the post that are directed to you, also, if no one is posting in a section it gets forgotten about. Also, when a player is not doing anything then it becomes time to remove them. Know about Kournikova, I have been wondering when it is time to remove her, still I can not see doing it yet but if she goes another year doing nothing then I do not see the point of having that section, same is true for Hingis, Monica and other tennis players that drop out of the sport. Hard to let some of them go if you like them however.

True Frank... but I guess that's why the number of posts is probably a good way to do it, don't you think?...
