I am very excitied about the start of the season. 5 tournaments in 2 weeks and then the AO starts. There is so much going on in tennis and so many great possibilites for players it is insane. I am anxious to see what Federer can do.

Well Federer looks like he's picking up things just like he left them...! That is just very impressive of him!

Golivin looks really good too. I'm very upset that Maria lost to Elena though. I'm glad she decided to not play the week before the AO.

Skipping Sydney is the best move Maria could have made. It has a million top players, only one of them will win and the top contenders for the AO who entered this tournament and left empty handed are going to have their confidence hurt a bit for the gslam. All of this for a tier2, the week before a huge tournament... I'm sure it's one of the best tournies of the year for the fans, but I don't understand what all those top10 players who entered were thinking. The Maria team know what they're doing

And to answer the topic, no I'm not particularly excited about 05 because I'm not very optimistic about Dokic, who is the only player I truly care about. But I'm hoping Myskina wins aus because she's brilliant

Hoping for a big 2005 from Lleyton. Unfortunately unless he can find a way of beating Federer and Safin, he wont get to number one.
