Hewitt engaged to Rebecca Cartwright

Lleyton Hewitt became engaged to Rebecca Cartwright right after his loss in the Australian Open 2005
They met five years ago at a charity tennis event.
Hewitt gave Cartwright an engagement ring after his loss.
Hewitt and Cartwright (from the Australian soap opera, Home and Away), recently ended long-term relationships.
Hewitt was engaged to Kim Clijsters, Cartwright seperated from Beau Brady.
Hewitt comments:
I am sure in a couple of days I will look back and think that it has been a great achievement. I will have no regrets. I have put everything into this tournament but right at the moment, I am human and I am disappointed. I have gone out there, done my thing. I think I can walk away with my head held high. He stepped it up. Some of his hitting from the back of the court late in the third set and then the whole fourth set was pretty incredible. The amount of power he can generate, he has got amazing strength. I do not even know when I will pick up a racket.
My comment to Hewitt: Mate you did an outstanding job at the Australian Open and it was very exciting. As a tennis fan you have earned my full respect and support. As for your selection in Rebecca congrats on that as well, she looked like a complete winner in ever way. Frank
