I have only this to say, when the hell did we figure it was time to drop Kournikova and how come I never was asked about that?

because it's up to the mods to decide.
She deserves to be dropped. She is no an active tennis player so her spot deserves to be replaced with someone more deserving like Golovin.
Besides she's only been moved to the Other players section. You can still talk about her there if you would like.:)

indeed, it was decided, but I still really should have made it an announcement, I usually do, and I forgot...sorry:(
So anyway, since she has not been active in a long time, she has (for now) been moved back to the other players category and replaced by Tatiana Golovin. I do thank you for your comments...

As I said why was I not asked about this first, it is not that I am not saying it was time but everyone knows about me and what I do for people here and my connection to Anna and this site. It only lets me know and confirms my status at this site when the young mods just bypass me with out comments on a subject so important. Is it time for an older member like me that was at one time in charge of the mods and running several sections to be disgarded as well? Sometimes it seems that we do not learn from the past and it is rather funny how things can start to remain the same regardless of what new staff is brought in. My final comment for the mods, do not get to stuck on who you think you are.

Frank, her forum was pretty much inactive and she hasn't played a pro match in almost exactly four years. Others deserve forums way more than she does. I love Anna, but it's true...
Who was the lecture for?? Stuck on yourselves??

The lecture is for any person that starts to think a position on a web site gives them any right to step on members. I am not directing it at anyone. However the comment of the "Mods decided" is why I decided something needed to be said. Mods have to understand they serve the general members of the board, they do not rule over the membership, that is unless they want to create problems and wars. Take it from me, I have been there and do not want that to happen again but it can! You also have to understand that in the past I was the man that took care of the Kournikova section and I have been around here for sometime. I expect more from the staff and I expect more from this current staff as I consider them to be a cut above, NOW I HOPE I HAVE MADE MYSELF CLEAR HERE.
Now as for moving sections yes I agree it was time but I also think it is time to move Vaidisova up and others and it is time to dump Jelena Dokic and even a few others or are the mods going to decide. Give me a freaking break, Vaidisova is a top 10 tennis player a real contender the same is true for JELENA JANKOVIC she is amazing and yet still not on our boards. If we are going to start removing people maybe you might want to ask the members. Now before I get pissed, I will let it go at that.
I WILL SAY ONE LAST THING, I RESPECT OUR CURRENT STAFF AND I THINK THEY ARE ALL FINE INDIVIDUALS, SO DO NOT TAKE MY COMMENTS AS DIRECTED AT ANYONE, I AM GIVING YOU MY TIME AND UNDERSTANDING THAT IS ALL, SO JUST TAKE WHAT I AM SAYING AS A GOOD POINT.

One last thing here
I think everyone is doing a great job here and I like what I am seeing. I also agree that we need to move sections (for the top players) that do have match action to talk about. I would have agreed with the Kournikova move but the point is it is always a good idea to talk to members and keep key people informed. Pierre already said he was sorry so that is fine and Pierre knows I feel he is moving to slow and not putting certain staff and ideas in place. I can not help what is done I can just comment on it, I have my ideas but it seems I am hardly needed around here. Just how I feel about it. If you feel that my 44 years on this Earth and 7 years of tennis match play and pro match media work is not enough to make me important that is completely up to you.
Pierre knows what I expect but then the reality of life is we are all very busy.

Hm, I think Anna had to be moved too, although she is still talked about a lot although she is not active, but I do think Vaidisova and Jankovic and Tati deserve it more to be there...
Although, don't forget, time goes on...just wanted to say by this that you should not get angry about not being asked Frank...
