Singles - Final
(2) Virginie Razzano (FRA) d. Tzipora Obziler (ISR) 60 63

Doubles - Final
(3) Peng/Yan (CHN/CHN) d. (1) King/T.Sun (USA/CHN) 63 64

Final Facts
- Razzano wins her first career Sony Ericsson WTA Tour singles title; she is now 1-2 lifetime in Tour singles finals, having finished runner-up at 2004 Tashkent (to Vaidisova) and at 2007 Forest Hills (to Dulko).
- Razzano has now won 15 of 19 matches in her last five tournaments; also among her achievements in that stretch are a pair of Top 20 wins (over Peer), quarterfinal runs at Los Angeles and Toronto (her first Tier I quarterfinal) and reaching the Forest Hills final the week before the US Open.
- Obziler was playing her first Tour singles final; at 34 years, 5 months and 11 days, she would have become the third-oldest singles titlist in Tour history with a win. She also made a breakthrough here last year, reaching (at the time) her first Tour singles semifinal (notching her first and so far only Top 20 win over Li en route).
- Razzano and Obziler were playing each other for the first time.
- Peng wins her first Tour title of any kind, while Yan wins her third Tour doubles title of the year (and the 11th of her career).

Quotes
Virginie Razzano, 2007 Jinjiannan Guangzhou International Women's Open singles champion:
"My objective at the beginning of the year was to get back in the Top 40 or Top 30; I have done that and will keep working toward my future objectives. This is my first title after eight years on the Tour; it's a special moment."

Tzipora Obziler, 2007 Jinjiannan Guangzhou International Women's Open singles runner-up:
"I had a very good week; it's disappointing to lose, but maybe next time I can manage it better. I beat some higher ranked players and it was a great feeling to get to the final. A year ago I made my first semifinal here and this year I went one better, so I'm very pleased with my week."
