I must admit I'm a little surprised Jelena doesn't post on here or has never kept in touch with fans via her site as most of even the very top players do in a blog, especially when her ranking started to wain in 2003/2004. We know she has always been a very private person, but I'm talking about just some kind of basic statement to acknowlege she appreciates us fans as she has stated she does before, even if just from a PR point of view. In fact, it might have been a useful tool to set the record straight over things that were written about her in the media. If I were her, I'd also be really interested in what people were saying about me. Maybe she does visit the site regularly, Who knows?

Jelena said this to the fans in her interview this week:

"It was really nice (the messages). I don't usually go to the internet so much and it is nice to see that I have so many fans and it is a lot of very nice messages, so it is great that people are still (fully?) supporting me. I didn't play for some time, in the last few years, and had a lot of stuff going on off the court, and it is good that people are still following my results"
