May 15th 2008: Good news as Anna won her match today in the Rome as she defeated Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 win, she will now face Tsvetana Pironkova...

May 14th 2008; Good news as Anna won her match today in the Rome as she defeated Ukraine's Katerina Bondarenko with a 3-6, 7-6, 6-0 win, she will now face Agnieszka Radwanska.

May 12th 2008: Russia announced its line-up for the upcoming Olympics as Anna, Elena Dementieva, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Maria Sharapova will form the team. In doubles, Dinara Safina and Vera Zvonareva will play as well as Svetlana Kuznetsova (although it's uncertain who she will play with).

May 7th 2008: Sad news as Anna lost her match today in the Berlin as she lost to Belarus's Victoria Azarenka 1-6, 7-6, 6-4.

April 27th 2008: Svetlana only played once today after Russia had already secured the win, with Vera Zvonareva defeating Vania King. After a loss by Elena Vesnina to Asha Rolle, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Elena Vesnina lost in doubles... Still a 3-2 win for Russia, they will face Spain in the final.

April 26th 2008: Good news for Anna and the Fed Cup team as they took a 2-0 lead in this weekend's semifinal against USA. Anna defeated Vania King 6-4, 7-5 and Svetlana Kuznetsova defeated Asha Rolle 6-2, 6-1!!! It's looking good!

April 15th 2008: Sad news as Anna lost her match today in the Charleston as she lost to Sonara Cirstea 6-2, 1-6, 6-2.

April 12th 2008: Sad news as Anna lost her match today in the Amelia Island as she lost to Dominika Cibulkova 6-2, 3-6, 6-1.

April 9th 2008: Good news as Anna won her match today in the Amelia Island as she defeated Ayumi Morita with a 6-3, 6-1 win, she will now face Dominika Cibulkova or Victoria Azarenka.

February 10th 2008: Anna continuer her run yesterday in Paris, this time as she knocked out Marion Bartoli with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-0 win! She will now face Agnes Szavay in the final!

February 10th 2008: Anna's tournament continued as she posted a very nice 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 win against Amelie Mauresmo to reach the semifinals, she will now face Marion Bartoli.

February 3rd 2008: After seeing her teammates split the opening two matches, Anna saw Maria Sharapova knock out Shahar Peer 6-1, 6-1 and then Anna clinched the playoff with a 6-4, 6-2 win against Tzipi Obziler! Dinara Safina and Elena Vesnina won the doubles to end the tie with a 4-1 win for Russia:)

January 15th 2008: Anna did not even have to play in the Australian Open 1st round as her opponent, Germany's Andrea Petkovic was injured and withdrew just before the match started...
