2010-01-30: Justine finally was not able to pull off the big win, she ended up losing 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 against the current world #1 Serena Williams. Still a great event and one she will be very happy with. "It's been a very emotional two weeks for me," said Henin, who put her hand on her heart as she thanked the crowd for support. "I thought it would never happen to me again. I'd like to congratulate Serena. She's a real champion." Later, Henin said there was a feeling of disappointment, but accomplishment. "It's just more than what I could expect, I just have to remember that," Henin said. "Even if it's quite soon after the match now, I'm sure there will be a lot of positive things I can think about in a few days. It's been almost perfect. Just the last step, I couldn't make it."
2010-01-28: Wow, a very solid performance today by Justine Australian Open semifinals as she easily defeated China's Jie Zheng, a 6-1, 6-0 to reach the Australian Open final, quite an accomplishment in her 2nd tournament back from retirement. In the final, Justine will face Serena Williams.
2010-01-26: Another very solid performance today in Melbourne as Justine won her match in the Australian Open quarterfinals posting a 2 sets win against Russia's Nadia Petrova, a 7-6, 7-5 win. In the semifinals, Justine will face Jie Zheng or Maria Kirilenko.
2010-01-21: Good news today as Justine won her match in the Australian Open 3rd round posting a 3 sets win against Russia`s Alisa Kleybanova, a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 win. In the 4th round, Justine will face Yanina Wickmayer.

2010-01-09: Sad news today as Justine lost her match in Brisbane International losing in the final 3 sets against Belgium's Kim Clijsters, a 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 loss. Still a very good performance by Justine but she injured her left leg and had to withdraw from next week's Medibank International in Sydney. "It was a bit sore in the last few days and really got worse today in the third set," Henin said. "I hope it’s not that serious and that I’m going to be able to recover soon, but it would be just a great, great mistake to go and play in Sydney."

2010-01-04: Brilliant win today for Justine as she won her first match since coming back on tour, posting a 7-5, 7-5 win against Nadia Petrova, she will now face Sesil Karatantcheva in her next match. "I feel better today than when I retired, that’s for sure," Henin said. "Better emotionally, mentally. Better with myself, and that makes a big difference."

2009-10-13: Justine has officially accepted a wild card for the 2010 Australian Open, the first wild card offered for next year's first slam!!!
2009-09-22: Wow, how nice it is to see Justine making a comeback! She confirmed today she would be back in 2010! Reactions were obviously very positive. "Justine is one of the great champions in the history of women’s tennis, and we, along with millions of her fans around the globe, are thrilled," WTA Tour chairman Stacey Allaster said in a statement. "Justine is that rare athlete who decided to step away from the game at the height of her powers, and no doubt she will be a force to be reckoned with from the get go." 2009-09-21: Justine is rumored to be announcing her comeback according to two top Belgian newspapers! She has so far refused to comment the news but this would be a major announcement after her countrymate Kim Clijsters did the same this summer!
