August 10th 2008: We had not reported this yet but Jelena has clinched a spot for the year end championships to be played in Doha. ""Qualifying for the Sony Ericsson Championships is always one of the important goals that I set for myself at the beginning of the year,” Jankovic said. “Naturally I am proud to have achieved it at this early stage of the year. I look forward to competing in Doha and hope to do really well out there."

July 25th 2008: Good news as Jelena won her match today in the Los Angeles, as she defeated Hungary's Melinda Czink with a 6-3, 6-2 win, she will now face Nadia Petrova.

July 24th 2008: Jelena was in action in Los Angeles yesterday evening and she won her 1st match 7-5, 6-2 against Vania King, up next will be Melinda Czink.
