March 27th 2004: Maria was defeated 6-2, 6-2 today by Nadia Petrova in Miami...

March 26th 2004: Another big win for Maria as she reached the second round with a 6-7, 6-1, 7-6 win over Ells Callens!!! Maria will now face #8 seed Nadia Petrova.

March 23rd 2004: Maria needed 3 sets but posted a 7-6, 4-6, 6-4 win over Jessica Kirkland to advance to the Miami main draw:)

March 22nd 2004: Maria is now trying to qualify for the main draw in Miami, she defeated Zi Yan and will face Jessica Kirkland.

March 15th 2004: Maria and Maria lost a 3 set battle against #1 seeds Virginia Ruano-Pascual and Paola Suarez 6-0, 3-6, 7-6 (4)...

March 13th 2004: Maria won her first round in doubles teamed up with Maria Sharapova, they defeated McShea/Ad.Serra Zanetti.

March 10th 2004: Maria was playing in Indian Wells this week but lost her initial match in two sets against Lubomira Kurhajcova.

March 2nd 2004: Maria was playing in the Doha qualifying but lost her initial match 6-1, 6-2 against Tatiana Poutchek.
