February 28th 2005: Unfortunately, Maria's tournament ended as she lost against Ana Ivanovic:(

February 26th 2005: Maria is already back in action, she is trying to qualify in Dubai and defeated Ting Li 6-7, 7-6, 6-1 and will face Ana Ivanovic next!

February 24th 2005: Well, things did not go well for Maria today, she lost a 6-2, 6-2 loss against Amelie Mauresmo:(

February 23rd 2005: Maria posted a very big win today in Doha, she defeated Patty Schnyder 6-0, 1-6, 6-2 to reach the third round:) She'll now face Amelie Mauresmo:)

February 22nd 2005: Congrats Maria:) She won her opening match 6-3, 6-1 against Lucie Safarova, she'll now face Patty Schnyder:)

February 21st 2005: Congrats to Maria:) She defeated Samantha Stosur 6-2, 6-1 in the final round of qualifying:) She'll now face Safarova in the first round:)

February 21st 2005: In the Doha qualifications, Maria won her opening match 6-1 when Anika Kapros retired because of an injury and then defeated Anne Kremer 6-4, 6-2! In her final qualifying match, Maria needs to defeat Samantha Stosur!

February 11th 2005: It was a close match but today Maria's run in Hyderabad ended as she lost a 6-4, 7-6 battle against Sania Mirza:(

February 10th 2005: Maria posted an upset with a 6-4, 6-3 win against Na Li in the quarterfinals in Hyderabad, she now advances to a semifinal matchup with Indian Sania Mirza!

February 9th 2005: Wow, tough match for Maria today in India, but she defeated Maria Santangelo 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 and will now face #1 seed Na Li in the quarterfinals!

February 8th 2005: Maria played and won her opening match in India, a win against Tatiana Poutchek, she'll now face Maria Santangelo.

February 3rd 2005: Maria certainly came close, as she won the first set today but was then crushed in the two following ones, a 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 loss against Daniela Hantuchova.:(

February 1st 2005: Nice win today by Maria, she came up on top against Shuai Peng in the Tokyo first round:) She'll now face #8 seed Daniela Hantuchova.
