May 23rd 2005: A sad surprise today as Maria's tourney in Paris ended with a 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 loss against Eva Birnernova:(

May 9th 2005: Maria was playing in Rome this week but lost 6-4, 6-1 today in her opening match against Silvia Farina-Elia.

May 4th 2005: Oh, Maria came close to posting a big win but in the end her opponent battled back and Justine Henin-Hardenne defeated Maria 2-6, 6-1, 6-3:(

May 3rd 2005: Maria advanced thanks to a 6-3, 6-1 win against Fabiola Zuluaga, thus advancing to the second round in Berlin. She'll face Justine Henin-Hardenne or Iveta Benesova next.
