June 22nd 2009: Good news today as Anastasia won her match in the Wimbledon 1st round posting a 2 sets win against Czeck Republic's Petra Cetkovska, a 6-2, 6-2 win. In the 2nd round, Anastasia will face Roberta Vinci.

June 11th 2009: Sad news today as Anastasia lost her match in Birmingham losing in the 3rd round 3 sets against India's Sania Mirza, a 7-6, 3-6, 6-2 loss.

June 11th 2009: Good news today as Anastasia won her match in the Birmingham 2nd round posting a 3 sets win against Britain's Elena Baltacha, a 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 win. In the 3rd round, Anastasia will face Sania Mirza.

April 29th 2009: Sad news today as Anastasia lost her match in Fes, losing in the 2nd round 3 sets against Hungary's Melinda Czink, a 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 loss.

April 28th 2009: Good news today as Anastasia won her match in the Fes, 1st round posting a 2 sets win against Russia's Galina Voskoboeva, a 6-1, 6-2 win. In the 2nd round, Anastasia will face Melinda Czink.

April 26th 2009: Wow, a very surprising loss by Italy this weekend as they lost their Fed Cup semifinal loss 4-1 to Italy:( Flavia Pennetta defeated Anna Chakvetadze 6-4, 6-0, then Francesca Schiavone gave Italy a 2-0 lead with a win over Svetlana Kuznetsova. Svetlana then won against Flavia  but a 3 set win by Francesca Schiavone against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova gave Italy the win!

March 25th 2009: Good news today as Anastasia won her match in the Sony Ericsson Open 1st round posting a 3 sets win against France's Aravane Rezai, a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 win. In the 2nd round, Anastasia will face Victoria Azarenka.

March 21st 2009: Sad news today as Anastasia lost her match in BNP Paribas Open losing in the semifinals 2 sets against Serbia's Ana Ivanovic, a 6-2, 6-3 loss.

March 19th 2009: Good news today as Anastasia won her match in the BNP Paribas Open quarterfinals posting a 2 sets win against Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska, a 7-6, 6-4 win. In the semifinals, Anastasia will face Ana Ivanovic.

March 17th 2009: Anastasia continued her great ride in Indian Wells today as she posted a 6-3, 3-0 win against N when her opponent got injured.. Next up will be either Agnes Szavay or Agnieszka Radwanska..

Then, Anastasia won an impressive 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 match against Lucie Safarova to reach the final! And then, Anastasia completed her run with a 6-4, 6-3 win against Julie Coin in the final..! Congrats!
