July 1st 2008: Good news as Venus won her match today in the Wimbledon as she defeated Thailand's Tamarine Tanasugarn with a 6-4, 6-3 win, she will now face Russia's Elena Dementieva up next in the semifinals!!

May 15th 2008: Good news as Venus won her match today in the Rome as she defeated Russia's Vera Zvonarev with a 7-5, 6-2 win, she will now face Jelena Jankovic.

May 5th 2008: Venus is apparently still planning on playing the French Open, she will also be playing the Rome tune-up a couple of weeks before...

April 9th 2008: Breaking news as Venus announved she would not be playing for the time being because of personal issues. She did say she still intended on playing the French Open...“I’ve just been having some issues that I need to resolve, so I’m working on that at the moment and I’m hoping to be back playing as soon as possible,” Williams said Tuesday at the Bausch & Lomb Championships. “I’m not going to get any further into it, but of course I love the sport.”
